How much does data migration from Shopify cost?
The cost depends on the scope and complexity: number of data records, data quality, required mappings, and special formats. After reviewing your Shopify data, we’ll provide a binding, fixed-price quote—the starting price is €1,200 plus VAT.
Can Shopify customer passwords be migrated?
No—for security reasons, Shopify does not disclose password hashes under any circumstances. This applies to any migration from Shopify, regardless of the destination system. Your customers will automatically receive a link to reset their passwords; their accounts, addresses, and order history will be fully preserved.
How long does the migration from Shopify to XONIC take?
Typically 1–2 weeks, including a test migration and correction runs. The final live migration itself takes anywhere from a few hours to a maximum of one day, depending on the volume of data—your existing store remains accessible until the switchover.
Will my Google rankings be preserved during the migration?
SEO URLs are imported from the source system, and duplicate SEO names are automatically deduplicated—active products retain their original URL slugs. For changed URLs, we set up 301 redirects to ensure existing rankings are carried over.
How is the data exported from Shopify?
Via the official CSV exports (products, customers) and the Shopify API (orders, metafields, images). You’ll set up temporary API access for us—we’ll take care of the rest.
