XONIC Plus: Marketing + AI – Service Description

§ 1 Subject Matter of the Contract

The XONIC Plus: Marketing + AI extension comprises two modules: marketing automation (graphical if-then editor with 6 event categories, 20+ action types) and AI-powered copywriting (50+ text functions across 9 areas). Annual license with automatic renewal (cancellation required 4 weeks prior to expiration via email). Minimum version: XONIC Shop System v4.5.x.

§ 2 Scope of Features

• Marketing Automation: Visual if-then editor requiring no programming knowledge, 6 event categories (customers, shopping cart, orders, tickets, products, categories), 20+ action types (email, customer management, coupons/discounts, order management, ticket actions, product management), AND/OR linking, time-controlled execution, event logging, and statistics
• AI-powered content creation: 50+ text functions across 9 areas (products, categories, manufacturers, order management, ticket system, news, reviews, CMS, FAQ), creation of new content or revision of existing content, multilingual (all activated store languages), Customizable tone/style, preview before saving
• AI provider integration: ChatGPT/OpenAI, xAI, Perplexity (requires your own API account; costs billed directly by the provider)
• Event Types: Customer registration, birthday, sales thresholds, abandoned carts, order status, ticket escalation, inventory levels, price changes, category assignments
• Actions: Email dispatch, customer group change, coupon generation, order status change, ticket creation, product status change, discount application, newsletter sign-up
• Data Protection: No storage of AI prompts or responses on XONIC servers; RESTful API communication

§ 3 Technical Requirements

• XONIC Shop System v4.5.x or higher
• Your own API account with an AI provider (ChatGPT/OpenAI, xAI, or Perplexity) for the AI module
• RESTful API communication for AI integration
• Multilingual Support: Supports all languages activated in the shop

§ 4 What the Module CANNOT Do

• Custom event programming by XONIC (additional paid service)
• API costs charged by the AI providers (billed separately by the providers; not included in the license price)
• Advanced training (additional paid service)
• Guarantee of quality or accuracy of AI-generated content (customer’s responsibility)
• Customization of AI prompts to specific requirements (possible as part of customization, separate quote)

§ 5 Support & Licensing

• Licensing model: Annual license (automatic renewal; cancellation must be submitted via email 4 weeks prior to expiration). One-time initial license fee; annual renewal fee.
• Activation: Via the XONIC Admin interface, local license validation.
• Support: Technical support provided by the XONIC support team, assistance with initial setup of the AI provider connection, help with event configuration (included in standard support).
• Updates: Functional enhancements may be available during the contract term. Significant functional restrictions will be communicated 4 weeks in advance (right to terminate the contract under exceptional circumstances).
• Documentation: User manual available.

§ 6 Disclaimer & Customer Obligations

The software is provided “as is” without warranty. XONIC Solutions is not liable for:

• The quality or accuracy of AI-generated content (customer obligation: review prior to publication)
• Outages or limitations on the part of AI providers (dependence on third-party providers)
• Misconfigurations in marketing events (Customer obligation: Testing on staging)
• API costs incurred by AI providers due to excessive use (Customer Obligation: Budget Control)
• Data protection violations resulting from the disclosure of sensitive data to AI providers (Customer responsibility: GDPR compliance)

Customer responsibility before going live: Test marketing events in a staging environment! Verify the accuracy and tone of AI-generated content before publication!

§ 7 Data Protection

• Marketing automation processes customer data (name, email, order history) exclusively for the purposes of automated marketing events.
• AI integration: No AI prompts or responses are stored on XONIC servers. Data is transferred to AI providers via a RESTful API (the customer is responsible for selecting the provider and ensuring GDPR compliance).
• XONIC does not process any customer data from the module (except for explicitly requested support services).
• License validation takes place locally without data transfer to external servers (offline check).

§ 8 Legal Provisions

• German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
• Place of jurisdiction: Chemnitz (for merchants and legal entities under public law).
• Severability clause: The invalidity of individual provisions shall not affect the validity of the contract as a whole.
• Amendments or additions must be made in writing. We reserve the right to add new features during the term of the contract (notification will be provided in the event of material changes).
